Dry, itchy or scaly skin, dry lips, blemishes and spider veins are the most common side effects of winter weather. Frost, in cooperation with temperature and moisture differences between cold and warm environments, sets risks to our system.
Follow the tips below if you want to maintain a healthy skin even in the coldest days:
- Use a rich moisturizing cream in daily basis. (Indicatively Advanced Day Total Protect SPF30 for day, Advanced Night Restore for night, by MEDIK8)
- Boost up your cream’s effect with a serum with Hyaluronic Acid or vitamin B5 in order to keep the skin’s moisture (Hydr8 B5, Hydr8 B5 Intense, Glow Oil by MEDIK8). If you have doubts about what cream / serum or a combination of them is ideal for you, do not hesitate to ask us.
- Drink more water or liquids of your choice throughout the day. In winter time we consume a lot less water than summer time, concluding to our dehydration.
- Eat more fruit and vegetables. They offer us a great amount of vitamins, all very important for our body’s good function.
- After shower, gently pat your skin with a towel and apply a moisturizing body lotion, “locking” the moisture underneath your skin (we recommend Nourishing Body Cream by MEDIK8).
